Adobe is back up and running and should be working for the remaining 3 sessions. Again, my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. The link for the last 3 sessions of the series is below. I will be recording the remaining sessions and will post them online as soon as they are available. Thanks again for your support and understanding.

9/18/2012

Hello everyone,

This year we will be presenting the same three series as last year. These series are listed below:

Basic Behavioral Principles - 6 sessions
Function Based Assessments - 6 sessions
Behavior Intervention Planning (and Advanced Assessments) - 6 sessions

ICN Sessions this year will be on Wednesdays at 9:00-11:30 every other week starting on 9/5/12. There will be some changes to this schedule due to holidays and weather related issues, but sessions will always be planned for every other Wednesday.

Also, we are experimenting with offering the sessions via Adobe Connect in addition to the ICN. This will allow for greater portability for people and more reliable technology. Below is the link that will be active for all sessions of this series. (I would suggest going to an ICN site and testing both technologies before relying on just one).
----------------
If you have never attended an Adobe Connect meeting before:
Test your connection: http://iowa.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
Get a quick overview: http://www.adobe.com/go/connectpro_overview

Should 80% of the reviews come in at the end of the series in favor of the Adobe Connect methods, we will move to that method exclusively for future sessions. Likewise, if 80% of the reviews come in favor of the ICN format, we will move back to that method as the method of delivery for future sessions. This will be the 4th year these sessions will be offered, with a 5th (and perhaps final year, planned for next year).

I have attached the PPT notes below for each of the sessions as well as related articles associated with the readings. If the presenters have an article or other document to share I will also post it below. Please note that items will only remain on this site for 2-3 months because of space limits, so download items often.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly via email or telephone.

Have a great year.

Sean

Sean.Casey Evaluations of BBP - Fall 2011 0 Dec 22 2011, 5:03 PM EST by Sean.Casey
Thread started: Dec 22 2011, 5:03 PM EST  Watch
The overall results of the BBP series (full results in attachments) showed that quality was rated as 4.22 and 4.67 by the non-CBS attendees and CBS attendees respectively. The overall quality of Sean as the presenter was 4.44 and 4.67 across both groups as well.

Reviewing prior sessions was received well however the issues with interactivity and the lack of connectivity to daily usage for the non-CBS's were raised as issues to be overcome.

However, the majority of the feedback was good and I wanted to share this with the CBS's who will be presenting this information next year.

Thanks again.

Sean

Sean.Casey Powerpoint Notes 1 Oct 24 2011, 12:45 PM EDT by Sean.Casey
Thread started: Oct 6 2011, 12:02 PM EDT  Watch
The 3rd Session will be psoted after the Session. Attendance is not being reported in 2 of the AEAs. Unless I can get an accurate count of who is attending I can only track this by the requests people are sending me. I have sent copies of the Powerpoint Notes to the CBS leads, you can contact them directly for the notes or wait until after the session when they are posted.

Sorry, I have to do this, but it does serve as an example that antecedents (requesting people state they are attending) do not always evoke behavior. In this case a contingency is needed. Hopefully, the remaining 2 AEAs will start reporting attendance and then people will be able to get the notes here on the website.

All the best.
Thanks Sean.

Anonymous power point slides 1 Apr 19 2011, 10:00 AM EDT by Sean.Casey

It is frustrating that the powerpoint materials are never available before the class starts! Posted today at 12:11 when the class started at 11:30! It is difficult to be prepared for class, and I have to spend the first 15 minutes of the class making a copy of someone else's who gets it emailed to them 3 minutes before class starts.
